Positive: The location of this accommodation is beautiful! The balcony was stunning and the log fire in an evening made our family stay so special. Communication from the owners was brilliant. Beds were comfortable and we loved all of the natural shampoos / conditioners and laundry / cleaning products.

Negative: Some things could be modernised to make it really spectacular. No air con but luckily we didn’t need it.

Summary: A beautiful family stay in a stunning location. We really loved it.

Positive: We traveled as a family. The house is located in a beautiful, scenic area. It was spacious and had everything we needed for a stay — kitchenware, a large barbecue on the veranda, two comfortable double beds, and a washer-dryer. The cozy living room was perfect for spending time together — we enjoyed playing board games as a family while relaxing on the comfy sofa.

Negative: The contact person listed for communication didn’t answer calls or messages.

Positive: We had a wonderful time staying at The Perch. The house is beautifully decorated, warm, and very homely — we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. The kitchen is well equipped, the couch and TV setup were great for relaxing, and the bush views with all the bird life made it extra special. Being right on the river was perfect for kayaking and SUP. It’s peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature — an ideal place to unwind after hiking or exploring the area. The fireplace and plenty of wood made the evenings cozy and relaxing.

Negative: There are just two downsides. One of the bedrooms had a great bed, but the other mattress was very uncomfortable — replacing it would make a big difference, especially for two couples staying together. I also don't know if there is a third bedroom like the add said. The second issue was communication. It was slow, unhelpful, and felt completely impersonal (No name under emails and office hours). It seems to be handled through a real estate agency, which doesn’t suit this kind of accommodation at all. The house itself feels like a cared-for home, but the communication feels like dealing with a faceless company — a real mismatch. This is a shame, because the place itself deserves better representation. We love to communicate with home owners personally. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and would happily return.
